John Amabile

As the well-known face of British interior design, John did his initial Design training in Glasgow and began his professional career in London as part of a creative team concentrating on retail and leisure design. He then diversified into Film and Television Production design before adding 'Home' interiors to his specialist range and his design portfolio and on screen work.

John first stepped in front of the camera for a host of interior design and fashion shows before joining Carol Vorderman to create 'Better Homes' and Scotland's 'The Home show' which he co-presented with Kaye Adams for the design hungry enthusiasts of Britain. His latest projects form a new designer role on ITV1's '60 Minute Makeover' now in its eight successful series where John has now become the shows host presenter and designer.

John's easy going and professional manner provides hands on information when he takes us through the latest trends and styles for perfect home living. He entertainingly combines his on screen presenting and design career, relating his impressive skills to a wide audience.

John, as Interior designer and presenter on 'GMTV' and 'THIS MORNING' has shared his design philosophies with the British public.

John can boast an already impressive personal client list with Amabile Design since its creation in 2002 with Carol Yates.

Carol Yates

With over 20 years experience since completing her Interior Design Degree at Napier University in Edinburgh at the same time as her design partner John Amabile in Glasgow, Carol's career has provided her with the key skills in designing for all Interiors.

Carol started in Hotel, Restaurant and Bar interiors before adding the 'Home Interiors' market to her healthy portfolio of work. Capitalising on her innovative designs, many builders and hoteliers as well as private clients benefited from her work allowing the creation of a much sought after service.

Carol's exclusive past contracts with Tay Homes, Bett Homes, Tulloch Homes and Robertson Homes increased and honed her 'show house' skills. These commissions also provided the opportunity to build a thriving Interior Design business - Pri Designs for over fifteen years.

Whilst concentrating on a family and after the birth of her children. Carol co founded 'Amabile Design' with John to combine their strengths and to create the successful fusion of their talents and experience.

Carol now combines family life with the growing and constantly evolving design business of 'Amabile Design'.
